Product Design Veteran, Liz Tupper Joins SIID Technologies
Liz Tupper joins Minneapolis-based startup, SIID Technologies as the new Chief Product & Operations Officer
MINNEAPOLIS, MN, FEBRUARY 8, 2022 — Liz Tupper (She/They) has joined Social Impact ID (SIID™) Technologies as Chief Product and Operations Officer. In the dual role, Liz will help lead product strategy and scale development while establishing business operations for team and company growth.
SIID™ Technologies leverages artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies to evaluate, uncover and correct the influence of human bias on decision-making and communication. “We’re excited to have Liz join our team as she is an accomplished entrepreneur in tech and brings much-needed expertise in design-thinking, product, project, and team management,” says Founder and Visionary, Eri O’Diah, who met Tupper in 2019 while engaged in a James Hill’s Co.Starters program. Since then, Liz had supported Eri’s efforts and startup journey from a human-centered product design advisory capacity.
“I’m thrilled about this move as I’ve spent a good part of my career helping tech startups design and scale their products from a human-centered and inclusive approach,” Tupper says. “Working with Eri and my SIID™ colleagues is a step toward really digging in and focusing on an area that is vital in our society today.”
Prior to joining SIID™ Technologies, Tupper was Director of Product Strategy at Software for Good where she co-led business development and other company growth initiatives. She was also Product Manager at SmartThings when they were acquired by Samsung. While there, Liz helped grow the consumer product team, mobile product line, and implemented product development processes.
Tupper started her career as a self-taught front-end web developer and self-proclaimed geek with over two decades of experience working in the social good, IoT (internet of things), web, mobile application, and video game industries. Her work as the founder of SieEnt, a video game development company earned her recognition and awards from Minnesota Cup and Project Skyway. Across her career, her work has received recognition and awards from the McKnight Foundation, Minnesota Tech, Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal, and AdFED Minnesota.
She has served on several non-profit boards over the years: Code Savvy, Girls in Tech Minneapolis, Managing Director of She’s Geeky Twin Cities and was most recently board President at Eureka Recycling.
